The Beautiful Gate

Written by Penny David Sheahan in Santorini, Greece, June 1, 2002 (Santorini means “the beautiful gate”)

The beautiful gate is the gate of the bride. She will be asked to step inside To a place of union, a place of delight; A place of honor, a place of might. Her Bridegroom waits for her to appear, He’ll come to her to carry her near. To show to her all His desire; Piercing her heart with holy Fire. Two hearts aflame with first love’s glow Will show the world the Way to go. They’ll uproot false doctrine, shatter man’s fame, Rule fairly and justly; reprove unjust gain. The tables will turn; all will be known As Bride and Groom ascend to the throne.
